Luke Marlow - 5th, 6th, 7th, & 8th grades

I am thrilled to be a part of the Northview Music Department! After student teaching with Greg and Mark in 2015, I always strived to create programs with as much care for their students, musical excellence, and joy through the community as they have at Northview. Now, being a part of the team, it's truly a dream come true. I have experienced so much love and dedication from the students, parents, administration, and staff in just a few short weeks that it is clear what an amazing opportunity it is to work here. I'm looking forward to bringing new ideas to the table and continuing the excellence that has been a part of this program for so many years!

Mark Lago - 5th, 6th, 7th, & 8th grades

I was hired by Northview in 2007, seven years after graduating from Northview. Once I started playing tuba under the direction of Dave Wells and Joyce Antel, I thought I would love to be a musician for a career, and then after having Max Colley Jr., I knew that career would be teaching music. Envisioning myself as a band director at Northview was a dream of mine through high school and college, and now I've been living the dream for close to two decades. It's truly an honor to teach band in a district that is so committed to supporting the fine arts. From the administration to the community, Northview is family - Northview is home.

Greg Wells - 9th grade - 12th grade

I am again struck at how blessed I am to be a part of this community. The love and support that each has for one another and the band is amazing.  I love sharing the stage with students, staff, academics, athletes, administration, parents, and the like!  This band program is FAR more than any one individual, however, most understand that their contribution at any and every level is an important part in the sustained success.  This is a perfect example of synergy and the total being greater than the sum of it's parts!  I am again humbled and honored to be here.  Thanks to all of you!  Please continue to voice your support of the band and the arts to your circles of influence.
